Quiz Lab Write Up

Today we took a quiz over mitosis.  After the quiz we did a cellular respiration manipulative as seen below.  The sheet for this can be found here:  Cellular Respiration

We also set up the lab for next week with Title, Problem, and Chart in our Lab Notebook.

Sock Mitosis

We completed the cut out yesterday and then did a hands on activity using socks to represent chromosomes during Mitosis.  Pictures below of the students using hands on manipulative of the sock mitosis activity.

Today we did a condensed version of Mitosis notes found here: CN notes Cell Growth & Division part 2  from the second part of this powerpoint Cell Growth& Division Part 2: Mitosis Notes

We then cut and paste examples of onion and fish cells going through mitosis as we dont have time to do the lab due to the snow days :(

Today we finished the Cell growth and division notes from yesterday and turned in our composition book after taking our weekly quiz.

Completion of Gizmos

Today students completed the last of their gizmos.  I allowed a few student to take theirs home to complete over the weekend.  These MUST be turned in by Monday.

Today students continued working on the Osmosis and Diffusion gizmos.  Friday they must have ALL four completed!!!
